The Importance of Vacation
Summer has now officially ended for me, as we started school yesterday. Fortunately, I was able to spend a few days away with my family in Ocean City, MD. The beach is one of the best places to go for a vacation as it provides a chance to relax and rejuvenate. The smell of the sea, the salty air, the sound of the waves, even the ability to watch dolphins swim can be relaxing. I found that I could clear my mind of some things and also have the ability to create memories with family.
Vacations can be as simple as a "staycation" (in which the participant stays home) or something that requires more planning like a cruise. In any case, periodic vacations encourage the participant to take a step away from their day-to-day tasks to think deeper about priorities in life and how to live them out better.
Some other benefits of vacation:
-Enhances peak performance and maintains optimal function.
-Allots time for spiritual growth because there are less distractions.
-Reduces stress.
-Fosters stronger relationships that includes both quality and quantity time.
-Provides the opportunity for creating deep and lasting memories.
